Uzbekistan and Türkiye expand mutual recognition system of professional qualifications within OTC framework

ANKARA, August 14. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with Emre Yıldız, Director of the Department of International Relations and the European Union of the Vocational Qualifications Authority under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Türkiye, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, organizational and practical aspects of preparing and holding the Qualifications Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) were reviewed. In particular, the sides discussed the preliminary program of the summit, potential issues for inclusion in its agenda, as well as cooperation mechanisms for implementing this initiative.
Primary objective of the initiative is to ensure organized, safe, and qualified labour migration between the OTS member states, train personnel taking into account the needs of the labour market, as well as form a sustainable model for human capital development.
According to Emre Yıldız, the dynamic development of economic ties and the expansion of cross-border movement of labour resources in the region require the elaboration of unified tools to ensure the transparency and reliability of professional qualifications. In this regard, the harmonization of national qualifications frameworks, the improvement of quality assurance systems, the mutual recognition of professional qualifications, as well as the expanded use of digital qualification documents were designated as priority areas for regional cooperation.
In this regard, it is reported that the Vocational Qualifications Authority of Türkiye, possessing 20 years of experience in the formation and development of the national qualifications system, plans to hold the Qualifications Summit with the participation of relevant institutions from the OTS member states by the end of this year. Within the framework of the summit, it is also intended to sign a corresponding Memorandum of Understanding.
To this end, the Turkish side expressed its readiness to organize a visit to Uzbekistan for a delegation of experienced specialists from the Vocational Qualifications Authority to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the opportunities created in our country in the sphere of professional qualifications, as well as to conduct direct negotiations with the relevant government agencies.
