Uzbekistan appoints new Ambassador to Ireland

DUBLIN, June 12. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Ireland with residence in London Ravshan Usmanov, presented copies of his credentials to the Chief of Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland Ralph Victory, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Ireland. Special attention was given to intensifying relations in trade, economy, culture, and tourism. Promising areas of cooperation were identified as agriculture, information and communication technologies, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy.
At the conclusion of the conversation, the Irish side wished the Ambassador of Uzbekistan success in his mission to develop and expand bilateral relations.
It is worth noting that Ravshan Usmanov arrived in London on November 14, 2023, as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom. On May 16, 2024, he presented his credentials to the King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In February 2025, he also presented his credentials to President of Iceland Halla Tomasdottir, becoming Uzbekistan’s first Ambassador to that country.
