NARITA, May 21. /Dunyo IA/.  Within the framework of the “Narita Airport Anniversary Fair 2026” held in the city of Narita, Uzbekistan's national exhibition stand was organized through the cooperation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan with the “Narita International Airport Corporation” and “Orange Inc.”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The fair is held annually and features aviation exhibitions, airline presentations, interactive projects, cultural performances and various entertainment programs.

Embassy of Uzbekistan participated in this fair with a national stand for the first time. According to the organizers, more than 43.5 thousand people visited the event during the day.

Uzbek national exhibition stand broadly showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and modern tourism opportunities. In particular, visitors were shown samples of national crafts - such as pottery, embroidery and wood carving - as well as traditional costumes made of atlas and adras. Additionally, information materials reflecting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan were presented.

Guests also received detailed information about historical cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, the country's centuries-old history, national traditions and modern tourism infrastructure. The national stand generated great interest among Japanese citizens and foreign visitors.

The event also featured musical and dance performances, alongside stage presentations. Guests showed particular enthusiasm for the opportunity to try on traditional national costumes and examine tourist maps and informational brochures, which further boosted interest in Uzbekistan's culture and tourism potential.

Participants of the event also shared their impressions of Uzbekistan.

Miyato Nariyama, an employee of “Nippon Cargo Airlines”:

-  I visited Tashkent in November 2025. The historical monuments decorated with blue ceramics and the hospitality of the Uzbek people made a great impression on me. Even though I don't speak Uzbek, people treated me very warmly. I wasn't able to visit Samarkand back then, so I plan to come to Uzbekistan again in the near future. By the way, your national cuisine is also very delicious.

Haruna Yuka, Chief Operating Officer of “Orange Inc.”:

-  Uzbekistan used to be a distant and little-known country to me. However, the beautiful Uzbek silk products and samples of applied art presented today allowed me to feel the attractiveness of your country more closely. This was also a good opportunity for my child to learn about another culture.

Overall, the event contributed to the promotion of Uzbekistan's cultural diplomacy, the strengthening of the country's positive international image and the further development of cooperation with Japan in the fields of tourism and humanitarian exchanges.
