MEXICO, June 17. /Dunyo IA/. These days, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan to the United States are on an official mission to Mexico City in connection with events dedicated to the FIFA World Cup, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, diplomats are ensuring the participation of our country's representatives in the “FIFA Fan Festival” events, assisting in promoting the tourism and cultural potential of Uzbekistan on the international stage and coordinating the visit of the national football team and members of the official fan club.

A delegation consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Culture and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan has currently arrived in Mexico City.

Within the framework of the mission, negotiations were held with organizers and responsible partners to ensure the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan in the “FIFA Fan Festival” events. As a result, the organizational, technical and logistical aspects of the upcoming events have been fully coordinated.

On June 15^th, tourism and cultural potential of Uzbekistan was extensively showcased at the “Global Village” pavilion. During the event, thousands of guests and football fans from across the globe were presented with comprehensive information regarding the country's rich history, cultural heritage, national traditions and contemporary tourism opportunities.

The pavilion featured demonstrations of national musical instruments, folk dances, handicraft masterpieces, and a collection of traditional attire. Visitors were also provided with detailed information about the roster of the Uzbekistan national team, its performances on the international stage, and the general development of football in the country.

With the assistance of the Embassy and the FIFA media team, a special video report was produced to cover the event on FIFA's official information platforms and social media channels. Furthermore, opportunities for a broader promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism and cultural potential among the international audience were discussed with the organization's representatives."

According to FIFA media service officials, the pavilion of Uzbekistan became one of the most visited and highly engaging venues of the festival.

The Embassy representatives also paid a visit to the “Mexico City Stadium”, where they met with official FIFA representatives. During the meeting, the diplomats examined the conditions prepared for the Uzbek delegation and football fans, familiarized themselves with the stadium's infrastructure, and discussed organizational matters. FIFA representatives extended their wishes of success to the national team of Uzbekistan in the upcoming matches.

Furthermore, in order to ensure the high-level participation of Uzbekistan in the “FIFA Fan Festival”, a meeting was held with Alvaro Cervino, one of the festival's organizers.

In addition, working contacts were established with responsible FIFA officials. The parties agreed to maintain continuous interaction on matters concerning the security of fans from both nations, the prompt exchange of information in emergency situations and the coordination of consular affairs.

Concurrently, Embassy staff conducted a series of working meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico. During the negotiations, the parties discussed simplifying entry procedures into the country for members of the official fan club of the Uzbekistan Football Association. The complete list of fan club members was handed over to the Mexican side, and agreements were reached aimed at ensuring their unhindered entry into the country without additional difficulties.
