ASHGABAT, October 15. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek pharmaceutical companies took part in an international exhibition and scientific conference dedicated to healthcare, education and sports, held in Ashgabat on October 10–12, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The Uzbek delegation was led by the head of a department at the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health and included representatives of 12 pharmaceutical companies from Uzbekistan.

At exhibition stands presented under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand, the companies showcased pharmaceutical products, medical equipment and supplies, baby food and other modern products.

During the event, the delegation held meetings and negotiations with representatives of Turkmenistan’s relevant ministries and agencies, medical institutions, pharmaceutical industry organizations and local businesses.

The discussions focused on supplying Turkmenistan with medicines, medical products and equipment manufactured in Uzbekistan, expanding the products’ presence in the local market, and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in manufacturing and trade.

Following the negotiations, the parties reached agreements to expand export-import operations, conclude supply contracts worth $3 million and develop promising joint projects.
