ABU DHABI, May 23. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of Uzbekistan met with the Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Yousif Al-Obaidli, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, issues of further developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE in the cultural, educational, religious, and humanitarian spheres were discussed. The parties specifically emphasized that friendly relations between the two countries have reached a high level in recent years.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the preservation of the rich heritage of Islamic civilization, the wide dissemination of the ideas of tolerance and enlightenment, as well as the invigoration of cultural and scientific exchanges.

Along with this, information was presented about the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, its goals, and tasks. In particular, the center's activities to popularize the humanistic values of Islam, study the rich scientific and spiritual heritage of the great scholars and thinkers of Central Asia and promote it at the international level were noted.

Director General expressed great interest in the activities of this center established in Uzbekistan and highly praised its significance in preserving and popularizing the heritage of Islamic civilization. It was also announced that there is a readiness to further consider opportunities for exchanging experience in this area, organizing joint cultural and educational events and establishing institutional cooperation.
