Issues of political and diplomatic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discussed in Ashgabat

ASHGABAT, September 10. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting between the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Myahri Byashimova was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Parties discussed the current state and priority areas for the development of Turkmen-Uzbek interaction in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Diplomats noted the high effectiveness of the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries, which is based on mutual respect and trust.
During the talks, the issues of preparing for upcoming joint events and further strengthening bilateral ties were also reviewed.
Special attention was paid to the high-level participation of representatives from both countries in international forums to be held this year in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue developing the political dialogue and coordinating interaction in the international arena, including within the framework of the United Nations.
