SYDNEY, September 23. /Dunyo IA/.  A festive event dedicated to the 35^th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan was held in Australia's largest city, with the participation of compatriots, representatives of the local community and citizens of various countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the event, guests were presented with the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, national traditions and dishes, as well as the country's tourism potential.

Participants were briefed on the large-scale reforms being carried out in New Uzbekistan, the main directions of the country's development, and initiatives to expand international cooperation.

Festive meeting served as a platform for uniting compatriots residing in Australia, popularizing the culture and contemporary development of Uzbekistan, and strengthening friendship and mutual understanding among representatives of different nations.
