GUANGZHOU, September 23. /Dunyo IA/.  Uzbekistan is expanding industrial cooperation with China following a working visit by a delegation from the Agency for the Development of Light Industry to Guangdong and Fujian provinces, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Negotiations were held in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Xiamen with representatives of Chinese textile enterprises, industry associations and business structures.

At the business forums organized with the support of the Guangdong Home Textile and Decoration Association and the Overseas Service Platform for Enterprises, the participants were briefed on the development prospects of Uzbekistan’s textile and leather industries, investment conditions, export potential and projects proposed for implementation with the participation of foreign investors.

Events were attended by the executives of more than 20 Chinese companies. Separate negotiations were held with leading enterprises, including “Shenzhen Chuxing Hengji Textile”, “Guangzhou Yuanzhicheng Home Textile”, “Elassay Group”, “Guangdong Hengshen Meida New Materials”, among others.

Parties agreed to elaborate on the launch of joint production facilities based on industrial cooperation, as well as to establish mechanisms for identifying new customers and expanding market outlets for products manufactured in Uzbekistan.

In Xiamen, representatives of the Agency discussed prospects for increasing the export of Uzbek yarn to China during a meeting with the management of “Xiamen ITG”.

Following the talks, the parties signed a memorandum aimed at accelerating mutual cooperation in the textile industry.
