BAKU, September 21. /Dunyo IA/. On September 19^th, First Congress of Composers of the Turkic World was held at the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation as part of the 18^th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Forum brought together representatives of leading music institutions from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Hungary.

According to the Azerbaijan State News Agency (“AZERTAC”), representatives of leading music organizations from the Turkic countries signed the Baku Declaration at the Congress, laying the foundation for professional cooperation in the field of musical arts.

According to Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, representatives of leading music organizations from the Turkic countries laid the foundation for the establishment of the Turkic Union of Composers (TUC).

Aktoty Raiymkulova emphasized that one of the Union’s key objectives will be to jointly promote Turkic music and the works of composers of the Turkic world, as well as support young authors and new creative initiatives.

The new Union is intended to bring together composers, musicologists, performers, conservatories, music academies and creative associations from the Turkic countries.
