Prospects for Organizing Uzbek-German Business Forums and Promotional Campaigns Discussed in Stuttgart

STUTTGART, June 3. /Dunyo IA/. Staff members of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main met with Klaus Paal, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) of the German city of Stuttgart, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the Chamber’s president familiarized the participants with the organization's activities, noting that its member companies operate in the fields of mechanical engineering, engineering, automotive manufacturing, high technologies and information technology.
Klaus Paal emphasized that he is familiar with the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to liberalize the economy and gave them a positive assessment, noting the interest of the chamber members in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan.
Consul General Miranshoh Raupov presented information on macroeconomic transformations in Uzbekistan, the rates of economic growth and stability, and also spoke about the legal guarantees, tax and customs benefits created for foreign investors, and the opportunities of free economic zones.
The meeting also addressed the issue of increasing the tourist flow from the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg to Uzbekistan. In this regard, it was proposed to conduct joint promotional campaigns and organize B2B meetings.
Particular attention was paid to external labour migration, including the development of a safe, orderly, and legal system. The parties reviewed opportunities for the systematic training of Uzbek specialists in accordance with German labour market standards and their employment in Stuttgart and the surrounding region, as well as prospects for implementing Germany’s dual education system.
Following the meeting, the German side expressed readiness to explore the possibility of organizing joint business forums and mutual visits of business representatives from both countries. An agreement was reached to coordinate practical interaction in these areas.
