A series of events held in London as part of the “Global Uzbekistan Festival”

LONDON, May 12. /Dunyo IA/. With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and in cooperation with the University of Westminster in the UK and Westminster International University in Tashkent, a series of educational, cultural, and sports events was held in London as part of “Uzbekistan Week”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
“Global Uzbekistan Festival” is an annual, large-scale week of events hosted by the university, featuring both cultural activities and sports competitions.
During the week, several key events took place, including a seminar on creating and managing sustainable cities, a lecture titled “From Exchange to Co-Creation: New Models of UK – Central Asia Educational Collaboration”, the 6th Annual International DEN Student Conference and a futsal tournament.
During the events, Professor Peter Bonfield, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Westminster, highlighted the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, including positive changes in the higher education system and the establishment of new higher education institutions that meet international educational standards.
The program also featured presentations dedicated to the rich history of Uzbekistan, its cultural heritage, national traditions, and modern development, as well as open dialogues and roundtables.
The sports segment of the event included friendly competitions and team games involving students and youth, which helped strengthen mutual understanding and a friendly atmosphere.
