Khiva to host Business Forum bringing together Khorezm and Hatay

ANTAKYA, June 15. /Dunyo IA/. Within the framework of the official visit of the Khorezm region delegation to the Turkish province of Hatay, a high-level meeting was held with representatives of the business community led by Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, serves as a Board Member of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and Chairman of the Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reports Duny IA correspondent.
The gathering brought together heads of prominent Hatay-based companies representing industry, logistics, metallurgy, filter production, and sports facility infrastructure.
In the course of the negotiations, a comprehensive presentation on Khorezm's investment and tourism appeal was delivered. Attendees were introduced to the region's free economic zones, operational capabilities, export prospects and the strategic incentives created to support foreign investments.
Turkish entrepreneurs highly commended the economic reforms and private sector support policies implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, expressing a keen interest in entering the country's market.
Following the meeting, representatives of several Turkish companies announced their intention to visit Uzbekistan in September this year to explore mutual cooperation opportunities within their respective industries.
Furthermore, Khorezm side put forward an initiative to host a joint business forum in the city of Khiva in August–September 2026, involving representatives of the business communities from both regions. The Turkish side expressed its full support for this proposal.
As part of the itinerary, the delegation also familiarized themselves with the operations of the Iskenderun Organized Industrial Zone, where they were briefed on the region’s export infrastructure, investor support frameworks and logistics ecosystem.
Furthermore, members of the delegation visited the production facilities of “ON Filtre”, “Filmar Filtre”, “Asas Filter”, “Özler Logistics”, “Hatko Teknik Tekstil” ve “Spor Sistemleri” and “Edip Demir Çelik”, where they gained first-hand insights into their manufacturing processes, export operations, and state-of-the-art technologies.
Following the negotiations, the parties reached agreements on expanding cooperation in attracting investments, industrial co-operation, logistics, and tourism, as well as developing direct ties between entrepreneurs of the two regions.
Representatives of the Iskenderun business community, led by Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, reaffirmed their readiness to advance long-term, mutually beneficial, and practical cooperation with the Khorezm region.
