Prospects for developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Romania in various fields were discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

TASHKENT, June 18. /Dunyo IA/. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Mirvokhid Azimov met yesterday with Ramona Manescu, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Transport of Romania, as well as Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan in Romania, who arrived in our country to participate in the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum and Daniel Ciobanu, Ambassador of Romania, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the MFA, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Romania in the fields of trade and economy, investment, transport and logistics, innovation, pharmaceuticals, industry, agriculture, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and considered prospects for its further development.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the transport and logistics sector. The importance of effectively utilizing the transit and logistics potential of the Port of Constanța, as well as implementing initiatives aimed at establishing logistics centers (hubs) and joint ventures in the territories of Uzbekistan and Romania, was emphasized.
