Moscow hosts cultural evening celebrating the life and legacy of statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur

• 66MOSCOW, February 17. /Dunyo IA/. A creative evening celebrating the 543rd anniversary of great Uzbek poet, thinker, and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur's birth was held at the Center for Uzbek Language and Culture at Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was organized with the participation of Russian students studying the Uzbek language at MSLU, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.
Special attention was paid to the life journey and multifaceted creative heritage of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. It was noted that the legacy of this great thinker continues to serve as a source of spiritual inspiration and moral guidance for both Uzbek and global culture.
Furthermore, it was stated that Uzbekistan demonstrates a firm commitment to researching and actively promoting the rich creative, scientific and literary heritage of its great ancestors.
The participants - including professors and instructors - revealed the meaning and etymology of several of Babur's ghazals and poems. In turn, students recited his verses, performed beautiful ghazals, and shared excerpts from the famous “Baburnama”, discussing the historical significance of this work for the entire international community.
It was particularly emphasized that Babur was not only a great ruler but also left behind a rich literary legacy as an outstanding poet, linguist, historian, and philosopher. His ghazals and rubais continue to inspire people today, awakening love, high spirit and a quest for perfection.
