MOSCOW, June 4. /Dunyo IA/. A poetry evening dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Abdulla Aripov, People’s Poet and Hero of Uzbekistan, was held at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh) in Moscow, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia jointly with the Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU).

The evening brought together representatives of the academic and creative communities, Uzbek students living in Russia, as well as poets and admirers of Uzbek literature and culture.

Program featured performances by representatives of the State Academy of Choreography of Uzbekistan, the creative collective “Anthology of Uzbek Poetry,” the Institute of Eurasian and Oriental Studies of the RSUH, and poets from various regions of Russia.

All performances were marked by depth, sincerity, and high professional standards, receiving a warm response from the audience. Students of MSLU were particularly warmly received.

A poetry recitation competition (mushaira) was also held. The evening was enriched by a performance from the Uzbek national ensemble “Nilufar” under the direction of choreographer Elvira Gayidbaeva, presenting a vibrant concert program.

At the closing of the event, remarks were delivered by Vyacheslav Konev, Director of the Directorate of the Basic Organization for Languages and Cultures of the CIS Member States, and Begam Karaeva, Director of the Center for the Uzbek Language and Culture at MSLU and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.

Participants of the evening were awarded letters of appreciation from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia.
