New Initiative unveiled in Pakistan to advance Joint Business Projects with Uzbekistan

ISLAMABAD, October 11. /Dunyo IA/. Trade, economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan, along with the “Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Exchange – 2027” initiative, were presented in Islamabad within the framework of the “4th SES Diplomatic Network–2026” forum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was attended by representatives of the Government and Parliament of Pakistan, the Ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Sudan and Iran, as well as representatives of the United Nations, other international organizations and the business community.
“Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Exchange – 2027” initiative aims to expand direct business contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, organize reciprocal business missions, promote trade and investment opportunities, and strengthen cooperation between chambers of commerce and relevant institutions.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtaev supported the implementation of the project, noting its potential for organizing direct B2B meetings, identifying promising investment projects and establishing joint ventures. According to the Ambassador, significant opportunities exist between the two nations to further expand trade, economic and investment cooperation.
Among the priority areas of cooperation identified were the textile industry, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, agriculture and food processing, the production of leather goods and sports equipment, building materials, metallurgy, the mining sector, geology, chemical industry, renewable energy, information technology, logistics, tourism and real estate.
Particular attention was paid to the development of infrastructure connectivity between Central and South Asia and the enhancement of regional transport corridors.
Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan confirmed its readiness to facilitate the establishment of contacts between Pakistani entrepreneurs, relevant ministries, investment institutions, chambers of commerce, regional administrations and Uzbek companies, as well as to organize visits of Pakistani delegations to Uzbekistan.
Following the event, parties agreed to intensify regular contacts between the chambers of commerce and private sector representatives of the two countries, identify promising areas of cooperation and proceed to the practical implementation of specific business projects and initiatives.
