PRAGUE, September 22. /Dunyo IA/. A solemn event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of our country's independence was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by compatriots, invited guests, public activists, students, and youth.

During the official part, representatives of the Embassy, as well as compatriots residing in the Czech Republic, delivered congratulatory speeches on the occasion of the 35^th Anniversary of Independence. The speeches noted the historical significance of Uzbekistan's independence, large-scale reforms being carried out in the country, results achieved and strengthening of the nation's authority in the international arena.

A special place in the festive program was given to musical and creative performances. The youth performed Uzbek national songs, compositions on the guitar and doira and presented poetic arrangements along with Uzbek and Karakalpak national dances. An exhibition of Uzbek national costumes was also organized for the guests.

At the conclusion of the event, guests were served dishes of Uzbek national cuisine, including traditional pilaf, samsa and sweets. The informal part of the meeting facilitated networking among the guests, the exchange of views, and the strengthening of friendly ties among compatriots.
