CHEBOKSARY, February 11. /Dunyo IA/.  A literary and ethno-cultural event dedicated to the 585th anniversary of the great thinker, poet and founder of the Uzbek literary language, Alisher Navoi, was held at the House of Peoples’ Friendship of the Chuvash Republic in Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The literary evening was attended by prominent figures of culture and the arts of the Chuvash Republic, Uzbek compatriots, as well as professors and researchers from the Alisher Navoi Research Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and Tashkent University of Applied Sciences.

The event highlighted the rich legacy of the outstanding statesman and public figure Alisher Navoi, emphasizing his special significance not only in the history of Uzbek literature, but also in world literature, national culture and the literary-aesthetic worldview of the people.

The creative poetry evening featured works by Alisher Navoi in Russian, Chuvash and Uzbek, performed by representatives of the Uzbek Cultural Center, alongside performances of national songs and dances and an exhibition of Uzbek crafts, literature and musical instruments.
