ТASHKENT, February 11. /Dunyo IA/. A charter flight arrived at Tashkent International Airport overnight, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has steadily expanded cooperation with European countries across a wide range of areas, including migration policy and consular support for citizens.
A recent example of this constructive collaboration was the organized return of Uzbek nationals from Sweden, coordinated between the relevant authorities of the two countries.
On the night of 11 February, the charter flight landed in Tashkent carrying 21 Uzbek citizens. They had previously arrived in Sweden in violation of entry regulations and had subsequently stayed in the country without legal grounds, contrary to the requirements of migration legislation.
Upon arrival, the passengers were received by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other competent authorities. The citizens expressed their sincere gratitude to the country’s leadership and relevant agencies for facilitating their return and providing support.
The operation was the result of coordinated efforts between Uzbek and Swedish authorities. These measures reflect Uzbekistan’s consistent policy of protecting the rights and interests of its citizens abroad while respecting international obligations and the laws of host countries. At the same time, work continues to raise legal awareness among citizens traveling abroad and to prevent potential violations of migration regulations.
