• 97NEW YORK, June 23. /Dunyo IA/. As part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the Uzbek diaspora in the United States and enhance interaction among compatriots, two new regional structures, “Vatan New York" and "Vatan New Jersey" have been established, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The newly formed entities mark the first representative offices in the states of New York and New Jersey under the “Vatan Global Alliance” association, which was previously established in the United States to strengthen interaction among Uzbek diaspora communities, entrepreneurs, public activists, and youth, as well as to develop unified approaches to supporting compatriots and implementing joint initiatives.
The decision to establish the new branches was reached during a meeting between the association's active members and diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in New York, with a particular emphasis placed on New York, which currently serves as one of the largest settlement hubs for individuals from Uzbekistan residing in the United States.
It was noted that the activities of the new structures will be aimed at expanding the outreach within the Uzbek community, engaging successful entrepreneurs, youth, and activists in public work, implementing cultural, educational, and charitable projects, as well as strengthening ties with the historical Homeland.
The new entities will be headed by Bakhtiyor Kadirov, a prominent businessman and active leader within the Uzbek community. In the near future, it is planned to form the core leadership teams of the organizations and launch a series of initiatives focused on providing comprehensive support to compatriots residing in New York and New Jersey.
The participants of the meeting emphasized that the further consolidation of the Uzbek community will elevate engagement with the diaspora to a qualitatively new level, expand the participation of compatriots in public life, and strengthen the positioning of the Uzbek community within American society.
Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that the establishment of the “Vatan New York” and “Vatan New Jersey” structures marks a significant milestone ahead of the milestone 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. These new platforms are expected to be actively utilized to organize cultural, civic, and educational events with the participation of compatriots, aimed at preserving national traditions, strengthening ties with the historical Homeland, and further unifying the Uzbek community.
At the same time, it was emphasized that the establishment of the branches in New York and New Jersey represents only the first stage of the further expansion of the association's activities. In the future, it is planned to develop the “Vatan Global Alliance” network in other regions of the United States with large populations of individuals from Uzbekistan. It is expected that this work will make it possible to unite the potential of entrepreneurs, public activists, and youth across the country, as well as provide a new impetus to the development of the Uzbek diaspora movement in the United States.
