International Conference “Independent Uzbekistan – 35 Years of Development Path: Reforms, results and prospects” commences in Tashkent

TASHKENT, August 14. /Dunyo IA/. Today, International scientific and practical conference on the topic “Independent Uzbekistan – 35 Years of Development Path: Reforms, Results, and Prospects” commenced its work in the capital, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Conference was organized by the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Ministry of Justice, Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of Uzbekistan, as well as the Center of Islamic Civilization.

Within the framework of the conference, the results of political, legal, constitutional, and socio-economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan over the years of independence are being discussed. The event also addresses the development of parliamentarism, improvement of national legislation, economic transformation, human capital and environmental sustainability.

Event is attended by representatives from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Türkiye, as well as the UN, Asian Development Bank, UNICEF and the European Union.

Following the outcomes of the conference, it is planned to adopt the Tashkent Declaration aimed at further developing interparliamentary cooperation, expanding the exchange of legislative experience and promoting joint initiatives.
