TOKYO, September 30. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with compatriots who have successfully completed their studies under the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by 12 scholarship recipients who graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Ritsumeikan University, Nagoya University, Hiroshima University, Yokohama National University, and Naruto University of Education.

Alumni, selected from among the personnel of various ministries and government agencies of Uzbekistan, completed two-year master’s degree programs in disciplines such as economics, law, agriculture, healthcare, urban planning and innovation, and global education.

During the meeting, participants discussed the effective application of the academic and practical knowledge, as well as the expertise acquired by the graduates in Japan, within Uzbekistan’s public administration sector and relevant industries. Furthermore, the prospects for the further advancement of educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan within the framework of the JDS project were reviewed.

It is noteworthy that the JDS project has been implemented in Uzbekistan since 1999, making a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists, including public servants. Over the course of the project's implementation, approximately 500 citizens of Uzbekistan, predominantly civil servants, have completed their studies and enhanced their professional qualifications at leading higher educational institutions in Japan.
