LONDON, September 30. /Dunyo IA/.  An article by Petra Shepherd, titled “Ski the Silk Road: Uzbekistan”, has been published in the UK’s oldest specialist magazine, “Skier & Snowboarder”, explores Uzbekistan’s winter tourism opportunities, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Author presents Uzbekistan not only as a historic destination along the Great Silk Road, but also as a winter holiday destination where skiing and snowboarding can be combined with visits to Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.

Particular attention is given to Amirsoy Mountain Resort, which opened in late 2019. The article highlights its seven ski lifts, 11 ski runs with a total length of more than 15 kilometres, an artificial snowmaking system and a ski season lasting around 100–120 days.
