Uzbekistan plans to establish qualification assessment centers based on British Standards

LONDON, May 28. /Dunyo IA/. The visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction Alisher Muratov to the United Kingdom has concluded, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the visit, bilateral meetings were held with representatives of "GEMS Education", "City & Guilds", "Apave PPL Training", "Gatwick International Distribution", "ECT Engineering College", as well as University of Greenwich.
Within the framework of the negotiations, the parties discussed issues related to the international accreditation of qualification assessment centers in such fields as plumbing, welding, electrical engineering, and other professional areas in accordance with international requirements.
The discussions also focused on the development of international standards for vocational training and assessment, as well as the implementation of a pilot project in Uzbekistan.
In addition, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction and City & Guilds.
In accordance with the Memorandum, qualification assessment centers of City & Guilds are planned to be established in Uzbekistan.
The organization has nearly 150 years of experience and has developed professional educational standards along with more than 1,400 training programs.
This cooperation is expected to contribute to the further improvement of the vocational education system in line with international standards, as well as to enhancing the competitiveness of young people and specialists in the global labor market.
