State Hermitage Museum to host exhibition on art at the court of the Emir of Bukhara

SAINT PETERSBURG, May 27. /Dunyo IA/. The exhibition “Opening the Palace Chambers: Art at the Court of the Emir of Bukhara” will open at the State Hermitage Museum on June 5, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, the exhibition is organized jointly by the Foundation and the State Hermitage Museum within the framework of the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The exhibition will feature 67 museum exhibits from the collections of the Bukhara State Museum-Reserve, the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of Applied Arts and History of Handicrafts of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of the History of the Temurids, as well as the State Hermitage Museum. The display will showcase works of decorative and applied art, jewellery and palace household items reflecting the artistic culture of the Emirate of Bukhara and the traditions of court life in Central Asia.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from June 5 to October 4, 2026.
