Representatives of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, other Turkic states, and numerous countries around the world took part in the festival, which has become a global platform for bringing cultures closer together. As part of the event, special pavilions were allocated to each country, featuring exhibitions and sales of national dishes, handicrafts, and traditional folk art products.
Employees of the Consular Section of the Embassy, citizens of our country, and active compatriots participated in the international event at a high organizational level. Within the framework of the festival, a friendly meeting was also held with Murat Kochak, Deputy Head of the Alanya Municipality (Belediyesi).
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as support for the social and cultural life of Uzbek citizens living in Alanya, over a traditional dastarkhan featuring Uzbek pilaf.
As part of the festival’s cultural program, representatives of Uzbekistan presented a specially prepared performance featuring the dance numbers “Andijan Polka” and “Khorezm Lazgi”. As a symbol of mutual respect and friendship, a chugurma — an ancient traditional headdress of Khorezm — was presented as a gift to the head of the Alanya Municipality on behalf of Uzbek citizens.
Employees of the Consular Section of the Embassy also organized an outreach reception for Uzbek citizens permanently and temporarily residing in Alanya.
During the reception, citizens raised various consular, legal, and personal issues of concern. All appeals and questions from compatriots were considered in a constructive manner, and appropriate legal explanations were provided regarding their lawful resolution.
Citizens were informed that the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of Uzbek nationals are protected by the state authorities and authorized institutions of Uzbekistan even while abroad. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions in Türkiye are always ready to promptly assist compatriots in difficult situations or in resolving legal issues. Special attention was also drawn to the importance of strictly observing Türkiye’s migration legislation and local legal regulations. In addition, the significance of registering for consular records was explained, and during the reception, citizens were duly registered for consular accounting in accordance with established procedures.
During the outreach reception, compatriots raised issues related to the introduction of a system for processing and issuing new-format ID cards through Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions in Türkiye, as well as a number of other matters.
In the concluding part of the event, in order to strengthen the patriotic spirit of compatriots and familiarize them with the reforms being implemented in our country, video materials were presented highlighting the official visits of the President of Uzbekistan to Türkiye, the results of the country’s consistent domestic and foreign policy, as well as the construction and development of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent and the renovated Imam al-Bukhari Memorial Complex in Samarkand.
