LONDON, September 19. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the “Vatandoshlar” Public Fund and “Oshpaz” Uzbek National Cuisine Restaurant, organized a festive dastarkhan to mark the 35^th Anniversary of the Independence of our country for compatriots working on agricultural farms in the UK, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The main objective of the event was to support compatriots engaged in labor activities abroad, create an atmosphere of the primary national holiday for them and further strengthen their spiritual and cultural ties with Uzbekistan.

Event was attended by around 200 compatriots employed on agricultural farms across various regions of the United Kingdom.

Participants were extended heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 35^th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, information was presented on the comprehensive reforms being implemented in our country, its socio-economic development, as well as the measures being taken to strengthen ties with compatriots living and working abroad.

It was particularly emphasized that addressing the social, spiritual, and cultural needs of compatriots working abroad, providing them with support, and maintaining their close ties with Uzbekistan remain among the key priorities.

Traditional dishes of Uzbek national cuisine were served at the festive dastarkhan. The national dishes and the celebratory atmosphere allowed the compatriots to reconnect with their homeland, recall national traditions and values, and celebrate the Independence Day of Uzbekistan together with their fellow countrymen.

Participants of the event expressed their gratitude to the organizers, noting that such initiatives are of paramount importance not only for the spiritual support of Uzbekistan citizens working abroad but also for strengthening solidarity, unity and mutual support among compatriots.
