BISHKEK, July 25. /Dunyo IA/. Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan are taking their strategic cooperation in the field of green energy to a new level, according to an article published by the Kyrgyz newspaper “Vecherniy Bishkek”, Dunyo IA correspondent reports.

The publication notes that in recent years, energy cooperation between the countries of the region and Azerbaijan has expanded significantly, driven by policies based on mutual trust, good-neighbourliness, and strategic partnership.

According to the article, key areas of cooperation include strengthening energy security, ensuring the efficient use of water and energy resources, integrating national power systems, and advancing renewable energy development.

The publication also highlights Uzbekistan's large-scale reforms in the green energy sector. In particular, it points to projects involving the construction of solar and wind power plants, energy storage systems, and the modernization of electricity grids, all of which contribute to strengthening the region's energy potential.

Special attention is given to the Green Energy Corridor initiative, jointly promoted by Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. The project is designed to connect Central Asia with the European energy system via the Caspian Sea and expand opportunities for exporting clean electricity.
