TASHKENT, July 3. /Dunyo IA/.  At the end of January–May 2026, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan reached 32.8 billion US dollars, increasing by 3.7% compared to the same period last year, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the export volume amounted to 12.6 billion dollars, which is 15.5% less than the figure for the corresponding period of 2025. Concurrently, imports grew by 20.8% and reached 20.1 billion dollars.

At the same time, the export of goods excluding gold demonstrated sustainable growth. Over the five-month period, it amounted to 6.5 billion dollars, increasing by 29.4% compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan maintained trade relations with 185 countries worldwide.

Main foreign trade partners of the Republic were China, which accounted for 23.4% of the total trade turnover, Russia (17.6%), Kazakhstan (6.9%), Türkiye (3.7%), and Afghanistan (2.8%).

According to experts, despite the decrease in the total export volume, the growth of foreign trade turnover and the substantial increase in non-commodity exports, excluding gold, demonstrate the ongoing diversification of Uzbekistan's foreign trade and the expansion of its economic ties with international partners.
