Uzbekistan and Jordan establish Joint Business Council to strengthen economic cooperation

ТASHKENT, February 18. /Dunyo IA/. During the 41st session of the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) in Mecca, an agreement was signed to establish the Uzbek - Jordanian Business Council, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the agreement was signed by Davronbek Kurbanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber and Khalil Muhammad Al-Hajj Tawfiq, Chairman of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce and Senator.
Business Council will serve as a permanent platform for direct dialogue between entrepreneurs from both countries, the regular organisation of trade missions and B2B meetings and the development of investment cooperation.
Particular attention within the Council is planned for the pharmaceutical, agricultural, energy, logistics, financial and tourism sectors. This initiative aims to increase the number of joint projects, attract investment and expand the presence of Uzbek companies in Middle Eastern markets.
