British university ready to develop partnerships with Uzbek higher education institutions in launching joint academic programs and educational projects

LONDON, February 8. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek diplomats met with Marek Hornak, Vice-Rector of Suffolk University, to discuss prospects for cooperation in higher education and scientific research, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Founded in 2007, Suffolk University currently has around 14,000 students and over 1,300 faculty members. The university offers programs in applied sciences, arts and creative industries, business and management, social sciences, healthcare and pharmacy, nursing and midwifery, dentistry, and information technology.

During the discussions, the British side expressed the university’s readiness to develop partnerships with higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. The talks focused on the joint development of academic programs, the launch of educational projects, the organization of professional development courses and training for faculty, as well as the implementation of collaborative scientific research.

Particular attention was given to opportunities for organizing internships for students and professionals, as well as implementing dual-degree programs, enabling graduates to receive diplomas from both universities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation and moving toward practical steps to implement the agreements reached.

It is worth noting that several leading British institutions have previously expressed interest and readiness to cooperate with Uzbek counterparts. Among them are the RVC College, University of Liverpool, University of Law, University of Roehampton, University of Hertfordshire, Brunel University, University of Warwick, SOAS University of London, Cardiff University, and others.
