In the article, the author reflects on the meaning of travel. In his view, journeys are not just an opportunity to see new places but a way to “read the world like a book” to learn people’s stories and gain a deeper understanding of the cultures of different countries. He names Uzbekistan as the first stop on his travels - a land with deep historical roots and rich heritage - beginning in the country’s capital, Tashkent.

It is emphasized that Tashkent is one of the largest cities in the region, fully rebuilt after the 1966 earthquake and today distinguished by wide infrastructure, green spaces and a convenient urban layout.
Special attention is given to the cultural life of the capital. The author calls Tashkent the “cultural capital of Central Asia” mentioning its numerous theaters, concert halls and museums.
