TASHKENT, September 30. /Dunyo IA/.  Delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva, will visit Tanzania to participate in the 153^rd session of the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will take place on October 5–9^th in the city of Arusha, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Representative delegation of Uzbekistan includes senators and deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

It is expected that the main theme of the session will focus on strengthening good governance and empowering communities through inclusion, trust, and equal opportunities. Furthermore, elections for a new IPU President for a three-year term will be held within the framework of this session.

As a reminder, in April 2026, delegation of the Oliy Majlis, led by the Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva, participated in the 152^nd session of the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the city of Istanbul.
