KHIVA, September 30. /Dunyo IA/. The Fourth Uzbek-Belarusian Interparliamentary Forum, titled “Strategic Partnership: Advancing Interparliamentary Dialogue, New Areas of Cooperation and Prospects,” began its work in Khiva, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the upper chamber of Uzbekistan’s parliament, the forum is attended by leaders and members of the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Belarus, as well as representatives of the government, ministries and agencies, local representative bodies, higher education institutions, youth parliaments and the business community.

The main objective of the forum is to further develop interparliamentary dialogue between the two countries, identify new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, and strengthen bilateral partnership ties.

As part of the forum, a meeting will also be held between local representative bodies and youth parliaments from the two countries.

Khiva is also hosting the Fourth Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus. Discussions will focus on industrial cooperation, joint investment, the effective use of human resources, cooperation in the agricultural sector, food security and biotechnology, partnerships in the humanitarian and social spheres, and the implementation of joint tourism projects.

An exhibition of national products from Uzbekistan and Belarus, presented under the “Made in Uzbekistan” and “Made in Belarus” brands, has also been organized as part of the event.

Following the two-day forum, participants are expected to adopt the Khiva Declaration and sign and exchange commercial contracts, agreements and memoranda of cooperation.
