TASHKENT, May 31. /Dunyo IA/. Registration is open for the 9th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Samarkand, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the theme of the meeting is "Creating Sustainable Infrastructure for All".

The Annual Meeting will take place from September 25 to 26, 2024, in Samarkand.

The Annual Meeting, being AIIB’s flagship event, provides an opportunity to showcase the Bank’s achievements and receive feedback from shareholders. It serves as a universal platform for dialogue, bringing together governors and delegates from AIIB member countries, as well as the Bank’s partners and clients, business leaders, civil society organizations, and industry experts from around the world.

Uzbekistan is a founding member of the AIIB, and the Bank’s total investment portfolio in the country exceeds $3 billion. As part of a three-year investment program signed between the AIIB and the Government of Uzbekistan, additional projects amounting to $2 billion are in the development stage.
