BANGKOK, May 30. /Dunyo IA/. The Consul General of Uzbekistan Fakhriddin Sultanov participated in a significant tree planting activity at the King Rama IX Memorial Park in Bangkok, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

This event, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, was graced by the esteemed presence of members of the Royal Family, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Governor of Bangkok, and all Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Consular Representatives in Bangkok.

The primary aim of this tree planting campaign was to pay tribute to the upcoming auspicious occasion of King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on the 28th of July 2024.

The concept of 12-year cycles is important in Thai culture, and the 6th cycle from the King’s birthday is a significant milestone in his life. This is a solemn event at which certain stages in the life of the monarch are celebrated.

The significant tree, marked as number 18, was meticulously planted by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the King Rama IX Memorial Park in Bangkok and has firmly taken root. With hope in their hearts, the diplomats viewed these newly planted trees as symbols of cultural cooperation, reflecting efforts to preserve the environment and strengthen friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Thailand.

The King Rama IX Memorial Park, a testament to royal dedication, was established under the auspicious Royal Command of King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua as a tribute to the revered legacy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.

Nestled in the picturesque Dusit district, spanning across a lush 14.6-hectare expanse, this park proudly hosts over 4,500 flourishing trees, fostering a sustainable ecosystem in the heart of Bangkok.
