President of Uzbekistan visits dairy production enterprise

ТАSHKENT, August 17. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the milk processing and finished product manufacturing operations at the new production complex of the Tillo Domor enterprise in Urgench district, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our State, in Uzbekistan, particular attention is paid to the development of livestock farming, deep processing of agricultural products and expansion of value-added chains in the food industry. Broad opportunities have been created to introduce modern technologies, process local raw materials and support producers.
Khorezm is among the regions with strong potential for milk production. To make effective use of this potential, projects are being implemented to develop specialized livestock farming and expand industrial milk processing.
Total investment in the Tillo Domor enterprise amounts to $11 million, while its production capacity allows it to produce goods worth 100 billion soums annually. The enterprise is equipped with modern technological equipment imported from Bulgaria.
More than 70 types of dairy products are produced here, including cheese, cream, sour cream, cottage cheese and kefir. Raw materials are purchased daily from more than 100 farms and local households. This, in turn, helps create a stable market for local livestock farmers.
The enterprise has created 120 jobs. Solar panels with a capacity of 100 kilowatts have also been installed at the production complex. Going forward, there are plans to create an additional 100 jobs and expand the range of products.
Currently, around 1,200 processing enterprises operate in the region.
President emphasized the importance of increasing the production of high-value-added products through the deep processing of local raw materials, ensuring a stable supply of resources to enterprises operating in this sector, and expanding the range and volume of production.
Responsible officials were instructed to support entrepreneurial initiatives in this area.
