ТАSHKENT, March 16. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the copper concentrate filtration unit constructed at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, the production capacity of the unit, which is part of Copper Concentrator Plant No. 3, is about 917,000 tons of copper concentrate per year. It is equipped with modern industrial press filters, pumping units, as well as slurry and water circulation systems. The equipment is manufactured in accordance with international standards and features high productivity and energy efficiency.

Currently, construction of the facility has been fully completed. Three of the unit’s five press filters have been commissioned, while the remaining two are undergoing commissioning.

The filtration unit carries out technological processes such as receiving copper concentrate after flotation, thickening and filtering the concentrate, separating and returning the clarified water to the technological process, as well as storing the finished copper concentrate or transferring it to the next stage of processing.

At present, around 130 employees work at the facility.

The Head of State inspected the production process and the finished products and also spoke with the employees.

A ceremony for taking samples of the copper concentrate was also held here with the participation of the President. The samples were placed in two containers and sent to the AMMC Museum and the State Geological Museum in Tashkent.
