President of Uzbekistan receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia

TASHKENT, May 6. /Dunyo IA/. Today, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Đurić, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our state, at the beginning of the meeting, the high-ranking guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, to the President of Uzbekistan.
The parties reviewed prospects for further strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in the context of implementing the agreements reached at the highest level in October 2025.
The sides noted with satisfaction the active contacts between governments, parliaments, and business communities, as well as the expansion of humanitarian exchange.
Priority attention was given to increasing bilateral trade turnover and preparing a comprehensive cooperation program in such key sectors as mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry, information technology, agriculture, tourism, and others.
To advance the economic agenda of cooperation, an agreement was reached to hold the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Belgrade this year.
The parties also discussed cooperation in the areas of organized labour migration, culture, and education.
An exchange of views also took place on current regional and international issues, as well as the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings.
