ТАSHKENT, July 24. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, at the beginning of the conversation, President of Iran sincerely congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being, and continued success in his responsible public service.

President of Uzbekistan expressed serious concern over the continuing tensions in the Middle East, stressing that exercising restraint and resuming dialogue are now more important than ever.

During the telephone conversation, leaders agreed to further develop bilateral cooperation, particularly by expanding cooperation in the trade and economic, investment, transport and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Presidents of Uzbekistan and Iran also exchanged views on other issues on the agenda.
