Presidents of Uzbekistan and the United States discuss prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations by a telephone conversation

ТАSHKENT, August 7. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President Donald Trump of the United States of America, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, at the beginning of the conversation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again congratulated President Donald Trump on the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.

President Trump, in turn, noted that Uzbek-American relations had reached an unprecedented level and that a close and trusting dialogue had been established between the leaders of the two countries.

Presidents expressed satisfaction with the consistent implementation of all agreements reached at the highest level and discussed prospects for the further development of the strategic partnership.

Leaders highly commended the dynamic pace of bilateral contacts and exchanges across virtually all areas of cooperation.

Three-year Program for Economic Cooperation is being implemented consistently. The first meeting of the American-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council has been held. Cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and American states continues to expand, and the introduction of a visa-free regime for U.S. citizens is helping to intensify business contacts.

Joint projects are underway in the fields of civil aviation, the automotive industry, the mining industry, infrastructure, energy, metallurgy, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and other sectors.

In discussing the international agenda, the Presidents emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to ensure global security and the peaceful settlement of international and regional conflicts.

Leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.

At the end of the conversation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited President Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan at a convenient time.
