ТАSHKENT, August 7. /Dunyo IA/. Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Samir Paul Kapur, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Had a productive meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs H.E. Samir Paul Kapur, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Noted with satisfaction that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States has reached a qualitatively new level in recent years. The close dialogue between the Leaders of our two countries continues to give new momentum to our bilateral cooperation.

During our discussion, we thoroughly reviewed ways to further deepen bilateral relations and ensure careful preparations for upcoming engagements at various levels.

Also exchanged views on cooperation within the C5+1 format, as well as on key regional and international issues”.

It is worth recalling that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with the U.S. President's Special Representative for South and Central Asia, Ambassador Sergio Gor, in Delhi on August 4th.
