ТАSHKENT, September 16. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, intensive program of the State Visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea has concluded, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, during the talks held in Seoul with President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea in one-on-one and expanded formats, the two leaders discussed further strengthening the special strategic partnership between the two countries.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also met with Speaker of the National Assembly Cho Jeong-sik and Prime Minister Han Seongsook, as well as with executives of leading Korean companies and financial institutions.

As part of the Uzbek-Korean business forum, the implementation and construction of joint projects were launched, and a substantial package of agreements was signed.

Head of State participated in the first “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” Summit and put forward initiatives in five strategic areas. The President of Uzbekistan also addressed the first Business Summit held within this format.

During the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also met with compatriots in Korea.

Upon completion of the visit program, the President and the First Lady of Uzbekistan were seen off at the airport by Minister of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea Yun Hojung and other officials.

Head of State departed for Tashkent.
