Inauguration of the German Medical Academy in Tashkent — A new chapter in bilateral medical cooperation and education

ТASHKENT, October 21. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, the German Medical Academy was officially inaugurated at the premises of the capital’s 1st Republican College of Public Health named after Abu Ali ibn Sina, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"The project is being implemented in close cooperation with the Agency for Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the University Hospital of Aachen, Germany, and the Swiss-based company "Globogate Concept AG".

The Academy has been established in accordance with German educational standards and is designed to train qualified nurses who meet the requirements of the German healthcare system. Graduates will receive diplomas recognized by both countries, enabling them to work officially in Germany.

Previously, Uzbek nationals traveling to Germany for work required up to eight months for adaptation. Now, future specialists undergo professional and language training in Uzbekistan. German language instructors have been trained under the Goethe-Institut’s "Train the Trainer" program, and students begin intensive German language studies from the first year, progressing to coursework aligned with the University of Aachen’s curriculum from their second year onward.

To date, more than 1,200 Uzbek citizens have undergone training in collaboration with "Globogate Concept AG". Of these, 450 are currently employed in Germany, 160 are in the process of obtaining visas, and by the end of the year, an additional 350 nurses are expected to begin working at clinics in Aachen and the "Asklepios" Group.

The "German Medical Academy" project has become a model of sustainable and safe labor migration. Uzbek healthcare professionals working in Germany are set to contribute to the development of the national healthcare system by introducing new technologies and modern treatment methods.

The school has been established within the framework of the Agency for Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan to train citizens aspiring to work abroad. The educational facility is designed to accommodate 320 students and is equipped with a 350-bed dormitory, modern classrooms, and language laboratories. Starting from November, training programs for nurses preparing to work in Germany will commence in cooperation with "Globogate Concept AG". Additionally, customer service courses aimed at employment opportunities in Japan will be offered with the support of "Onodera User Run".

Annually, the project plans to train approximately 1,500 citizens in foreign languages and professional skills in accordance with international standards.
