Microbiological fertilizers from Uzbekistan to undergo testing in Egypt

CAIRO, August 18. /Dunyo IA/.   Online negotiations were held between the Uzbek company “Agro EM Technology” and representatives of the Agricultural Fertilizer Committee of Egypt, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture and biotechnology were discussed.

During the negotiations, representatives of “Agro EM Technology” put forward a proposal to introduce the microbiological fertilizer “mgumi organic”, developed in our country on the basis of beneficial microorganisms, to the Egyptian market, as well as to establish its joint production adapted to local climatic and soil conditions.

Uzbek side expressed its readiness to conduct joint scientific evaluations and field trials with Egyptian scientists for the successful registration of this product in Egypt and the further establishment of a commercial and technological partnership”.

In turn, the Chairman of the Agricultural Fertilizer Committee of Egypt, Samir El-Goundi, explained the legal and technical requirements necessary for the official registration and certification of products in the country.

Egyptian specialists emphasized the need to determine each type of microorganism in the product's composition, substantiate their activity and concentration levels, and conduct laboratory and field trials to assess the fertilizer's impact on soil and agricultural crops over two consecutive growing seasons.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached to organize a practical visit of Uzbek specialists to Egypt, conduct a presentation and commence field trials.
