Uzbek School students perform successfully at 3rd International Mathematics Olympiad in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT, April 14. /Dunyo IA/. The 3rd International Mathematical Olympiad among schoolchildren concluded in Turkmenistan, with over 170 young mathematicians participating in the event, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The intellectual competitions were organized at specialized secondary school No. 135 in Ashgabat. Representatives from 12 countries participated in the contests: Russia, China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Turkmenistan.

As part of the event, the students, their mentors, and delegation members visited a thematic exhibition displayed in the university foyer. The award ceremony for the Olympiad winners took place at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

According to the competition results, the Turkmenistan team took first place in the team standings. The Uzbekistan national team earned second place, winning a total of 16 medals: 2 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze. Third place went to the Tajikistan team.

The competitions were held in two categories: Levels “A” and “B”. The Olympiad was organized not only to identify the strongest in the field of exact sciences but also to strengthen international humanitarian cooperation within the educational environment.

In the final part of the event, creative teams from educational institutions of Turkmenistan performed for the participants. The concert program, featuring young artists, reflected the national arts of the participating countries and aimed to create an atmosphere of friendship and cultural unity.
