Famous Uzbek religious scholar holds meeting with compatriots in South Korea

SEOUL, February 13. /Dunyo IA/. Renowned religious scholar Odinakhon Muhammad Yusuf met with members of the Uzbek community in South Korea, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During her visit, the religious scholar held a series of meetings with Uzbek citizens in Seoul, Daejeon and Gimhae, where she discussed the teachings and essence of traditional Islam. The discussions primarily focused on social life and national values, with particular attention to the role of women in society, their personal responsibility and spiritual resilience.
It was emphasized that preserving national identity is not only a tradition but also a conscious choice that should be reflected in everyday life. The relevance of supporting women’s and girls’ pursuit of education, raising children in predominantly non-Muslim countries, fostering national consciousness, maintaining women’s emotional balance abroad, coping with psychological pressure and sustaining inner equilibrium was also highlighted.
In addition, Odinakhon Muhammad Yusuf spoke about recent reforms in Uzbekistan’s religious and educational spheres and the measures being implemented to ensure freedom of religion for citizens. In this context, compatriots were advised to remain vigilant, resist the influence of alien ideas and avoid extremist religious organizations and movements.
During a series of open dialogues with Uzbek nationals residing overseas, officials exchanged views on the attention and support extended by the leadership of Uzbekistan to its citizens abroad, as well as on practical measures being implemented in this regard.
At the conclusion of the events, participants received comprehensive responses to their questions from the responsible authorities, reflecting the government’s commitment to ensuring clear communication, responsive governance and sustained engagement with the diaspora community.
