Mufti of Uzbekistan meets with compatriots in Moscow

• 117MOSCOW, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, led by its chairman, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar, visited the capital of Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
As part of the visit, an open dialogue was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with students studying at Russian higher education institutions, as well as with compatriots working in Moscow.
Opening the event, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Botirjon Asadov noted that this visit is the first visit of the delegation of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, led by its chairman, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar, to Russia. This testifies to the great attention paid by the head of our state in recent years to the issues of developing religious education and ensuring the spiritual needs of our compatriots living abroad.
During the event, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar delivered a speech detailing the reforms initiated by the President of Uzbekistan in recent years to ensure freedom of religion, renovate mosques and madrasas and develop religious education. He provided information on changes within the religious education system, the activities of mosques and Quran courses, as well as the Fatwa Center of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and its Call Center.
He also explained to the participants the responsibilities of compatriots living abroad, the importance of mutual respect, supporting one another away from home, and the necessity of maintaining constant communication with their parents.
At the conclusion of the event, compatriots and students addressed Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar with various questions and for advice, to which he provided detailed and comprehensive answers.
