For the first time, representatives of Uzbekistan participated in and secured Swedish Institute scholarships

STOCKHOLM, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. The Swedish Institute (SI), a specialized government agency, has announced the winners of the “Global Professionals” Master’s scholarship program for developing countries for the 2026/2027 academic year, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Representatives of Uzbekistan, participating in this program for the first time, were awarded a total of four scholarships.
Notably, our candidates emerged as winners in fields crucial to both science and the economy, such as robotics and automation, medicine, databases and archaeology.
The winners from Uzbekistan are expected to begin their Master's studies at leading Swedish universities in August-September of this year, fully funded by the grants.
Under the “Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals” (SISGP) program, the recipients will be provided with a full tuition waiver, as well as monthly stipends and coverage of travel expenses to Sweden.
With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, our country was admitted to the Swedish Institute's “Global Professionals” program as the 34th partner country in December 2025.
Currently, Uzbekistan is the only country from Central Asia participating in this prestigious educational program.
